Panache Masquerade Lingerie

I have always been a stickler for lovely matching underwear. Even if I am having a casual day with jeans and a sweatshirt, I always feel nicer if I know I am wearing nice underwear underneath. Whilst I could probably empty the store if ever I was given free reign in Agent Provocateur, sadly my bank balance doesn't allow for that. Therefore I am always on the lookout for more purse-friendly lingerie, which feels as good on as it looks on the hanger.

I generally choose black sets of underwear, but when I was asked by Panache to review an item from their latest ranges, I decided to think outside the (black) box and opted for the Masquerade Amor set in 'Sapphire'.

I am quite particular about the underwear that I choose, hence why I always buy it for myself as opposed to receiving it as a present. Having never tried any lingerie from Panache before, I was really impressed with this bra. It gave a really nice shape, and on the practical front, it was really comfortable and fitted really well. I am not about to start posting photos of me in my bra on my blog, so you will have to take my word for it I am afraid! I loved the colour - not too bright, but a nice change from my usual black.

I will definitely be trying more items from this brand. You can purchase Panache lingerie from a range of stockists, including Bravissimo and Figleaves.

Charlotte & Co : Foundation Silk Knickers

Apologies for the long time since my last post. Sadly other things have got in the way. But I am back, and hopefully am back in the blogging swing of things!

I have a bit of a soft spot for buying underwear, and could quite easily spend a small fortune on Agent Provocateur & Mimi Holliday if funds allowed! As such, when I think of silk underwear, I am more likely to think of pieces from those brands, and to think of pieces in black or jewel tones. Therefore, I was looking forward to trying the foundation silk knickers from Charlotte & Co,as they are different to my usual underwear of choice. The knickers are part of a range of silk underwear, which includes knickers, camisoles and slips.

The range has been described as the "ultimate practical luxury", and I can safely say that these are both practical and luxurious. Although I tend to go for black underwear as opposed to nude coloured underwear, these were great under a light summer dress. The pure silk-jersey fabric meant that they were really smooth, and there was no sign of the dreaded VPL.

I am a firm believer in a bit of "everyday luxury" and these fit the bill nicely. The knickers retail at £14.00, but you can buy 2 pairs for £23.00. I will definitely be purchasing some more.

Charlotte & Co. currently have a sale on, containing a range of items, from swimwear to nightwear; silk duvets to cashmere loungewear. With prices with up to 75% off, it is definitely worth checking out. As well as the clothing, there are some items which I think would make great gifts.

Paloma Faith for La Senza

At the recent St David's South Wales Blogger Event, the lovely Emma from La Senza HQ talked us through some of La Senza's latest ranges. Buying underwear is one of my weaknesses, and I would quite happily drop a small fortune on Damaris and Agent Provocateur if funds allowed!  However, in an attempt to be more budget-conscious, I was looking forward to seeing what La Senza had to offer.

The range that jumped out at me straight away was the Paloma Faith range which she has designed to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care. Paloma has designed three pieces for her collection: a playsuit; a halterneck bra, and French knicker. The collection has a definite vintage glamour look, which I guess isn't really surprising given Paloma's style, and the fact that she used to work in Agent Provocateur. The collection is available in two colours: black and emerald. Although most of my underwear tends to be black, I was drawn to the emerald straight away, and couldn't wait to pop into their store in St David's Cardiff. The cut of the items is really flattering and they feel lovely to wear. I was also impressed with some of the other ranges instore, and the design of the store itself, which had a more sophisticated and glamorous look than the old style store.

The range is only available during October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), so you've only got a few days left to grab these! It can be bought online and instore. The playsuit retails for £30 (£3 donation to Breast Cancer Care), the bra for £30 (£3 donation to Breast Cancer Care) and the French knicker for £16 (£1 donation to Breast Cancer Care).
